TEXTO / Procede del latín “textus” y significa tejido, enlace. De ahí que los textos presenten muchos elementos relacionados entre sí, las palabras, de forma lineal, pero a veces formando un entramado en el que es fácil perderse.

TEX es la raíz que une el discurso en la obra de Carla Beretta.
Articula las palabras, cuyos sentidos rebalsan de un profundo y genuino interés por diversos temas, tanto sociales, como ecológicos, donde siempre el eje es lo humano.
Las palabras que son visuales, gráficas, a veces intercaladas con fotografías, marcan el papel con el peso de la tinta, tejen y destejen el sentido para reafirmarlo.
Las mismas se hacen más abstractas en el medio textil, entramando minuciosamente recortes de telas o fragmentos de papel, que unifican sus leves partículas en esponjosas formas que avanzan con gran contundencia hacia el espacio. En estas formas el color es potencia indisoluble de metáforas abiertas. El peso es siempre visual y táctil, la materia es etérea, el sentido se encuentra en la relación entre el espacio, los fragmentos unificados en una forma, el color elegido, las palabras, en definitiva, en el discurso visual.

TEXT / It comes from the Latin "textus" and means fabric, link. Therefore, the texts present many interrelated elements, the words, in a linear way, but sometimes creating a framework in which it is easy to get lost. From the Latin textus, and this from the verb texere, "weave, compose", from the proto-Indo-European *tek-, "do". Record, especially written, of a statement or a series of them.

TEX is the root that unites the discourse in Carla Beretta's work.
Articulates the words, whose senses overflow with a deep and genuine interest in various topics, both social and ecological, where the axis is always the human. Words that are visual, graphic, sometimes interspersed with photographs, mark the paper with the weight of the ink, weave and undo the meaning to reaffirm it. They become more abstract in the textile environment, meticulously framing cuts of fabrics or fragments of paper, which unify their slight particles in spongy forms which advance with great force towards space. In these forms, color is an indissoluble power of open metaphors. The weight is always visual and tactile, the matter is ethereal, the meaning is in the relationship between spaces, the fragments unified in one form, the chosen color, the words, definitely, in the visual discourse.
